And it’s a wrap! Our first acceleration program officially concluded with our Demo Day I event.

During our first acceleration, 6 selected startups each received $30,000 in investment to develop their idea in addition to free hosting at our offices, help with product and business development, accounting and legal services, and mentorship from key experts in various industries.

“We had the privilege of working with some of the best entrepreneurs and we are thrilled to experience Lebanon’s transformation into a regional hub for global innovation,” commented Sami Abou Saab, our CEO, during the welcome note of the event, which was held on January 13 2016, at the American University of Beirut (AUB).

Our six graduating startups took center stage consecutively and each pitched it business in just 6 minutes to more than 250 attendees, including investors, officials, and media representatives.

Following the pitches, we left the attendees with a final announcement: 2 of our graduating startups, N.A.R. and RationalPixels, were selected to join the “LebNet Ignite powered by Blackbox Connect” acceleration and mentorship program, for a unique Silicon Valley immersion experience.
