Speed@BDD Meets With University Students
University students often have the greatest ideas and it’s during lunch breaks or even classes that they get together and come up with the next big thing.
Speed@BDD wanted to spend time with upcoming entrepreneurs who might impact the world with their businesses and who could benefit from our acceleration program in the near future.
Our first stop this year was at the American University of Beirut (AUB), and specifically at their job fair, which was held on May 14 and 15. We met more than 500 AUB students and alumni and exchanged with them key insights about the local entrepreneurship ecosystem and information about what Speed@BDD can offer for a startup at the idea or MVP stage. We were also able to share with them experiences about the tech startup life in Lebanon and answer all their questions before jumping on the entrepreneurship bandwagon.
Our second stop was at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) on May 5. Our CEO, Sami Abou Saab, was on the judging committee of USEK’s Entrepreneurship Day competition.
